Modern online love

April 23rd, 2007 · No Comments

I was discussing my extra large foot in my mouth post love letter idiot comment with one of my single guy friends. I asked him if he actually ever wrote anyone a little love letter to help repair or start the romance process.

Well he looked at me like the old married before the internet guy that I appear to represent. Now its all online. Sure he’s writing lots of little notes but its all online. His biggest concern in the eHarmony love process is the fact that he has to watch when he clicks that send button. Apparently some badly written prose has the potential to become the latest email joke of the week.

Really the whole dating industry has shifted to the online world. Its so much easier to hide behind your computer screen and make that move when you feel comfortable. You can get some very good eHarmony advice from various sources on the internet. That info might be better than the type of advice I used to receive from my slightly drunk and very single friends in the past.

Plus the hook ups and the whole finding the perfect date process has moved online. My friend says he gets better quality date via the eHarmony match process than he does from friends. Maybe he’s only searching online because my sister-in-laws, next door neighbours, second cousin, just moved from Albania is looking for a date and I hear she’s pretty hot. I should hook him up old school dating style.
