I really can’t believe that Hillary Clinton is absolutely and totally so clueless to what people want from politicians.
She’s got an endorsement from Tom Vilsack from Iowa which on the surface sounds like the normal regional political game.
One small problem. Clinton has promised to help retire the $400,000 that Vilsack rung up in bills when he tried to get into the presidential race. How she’ll actually raise the money is unclear maybe a couple of phone calls to her big money supporters who than will be able to have Clinton’s ear on one more occasion in the future.
Both camps say the endorsement has nothing to do with the $400,000 of cash that Hilary will help raise for Vilsack. No apparently Vilsack would have been more than happy to walk around Iowa wearing some Hillary Clinton T-shirts because his family had some history with Clinton. The strong connection that overrode any money was Vilsack’s wife’s late brother used to work with Clinton in the 1970s.
So does anyone really think that this is new politics. Clinton is so out to lunch and out of touch with what people want from the politicians. Old politics of money is over people don’t want it anymore because it jsut leads to more crap government that only helps two or three buddies in Washington.
Clinton keeps talking about involving everyone and how things are going to change. But what do you see in Iowa? You got some white guy walking around the state wearing some Hillary Clinton Shirts and $400,000 stuffed into his front pocket like some cheap stripper. If thats the new politics that Clinton is supporting well just get me Obama phone number because I’m joining up.
