Well I might have escaped that hard drive disaster. But I forgot about another upcoming disaster that I’m somewhat involved in.
Ok maybe its not an actually disaster but have you ever tried to help someone with their wedding plans. The problem is actually the helping. Everyone has their own ideas on what will make the day perfect. I know why those wedding planners end up looking like battlefield generals on those TV reality shows. If they were not busting people ever wedding would turn into a disaster.
So I’ve ended up trying to help my friend plan part of his wedding. We’ve been looking for a reception hall, its all part of the wedding savings & planning guide fifty page manual that someone created for my friend and his wife to be.
Really we have a huge pile of paper that has pages and pages of tasks that have to be performed by a certain date. The only thing that seems to change in the document is the budget. I’ve noticed that the numbers returning with the purchased items seem to be running at least 10 per cent higher than the costs in the book. That will be one painful wedding present.
I’ve suggested to my buddy that he also break the bank on one more item. He really needs to spread some cash on the ring. Its really just a question of buying the biggest rock that you find. that ends up looking bad in the long run and plus the wife might not end up walking around town with some big rock on her finger. He really needed some help in choosing the right wedding ring design and really I wasn’t the guy for the job. I told him not to get the big rock but I than left it up to him to believe me over the sales person at the ring shop. Never ever trust someone working on commission, the dollar signs seem to cloud their judgement.
