One thing about being involved in the fast paced, IT world is jobs. If you’ve worked long enough and have enough contacts you get these jobs offers right of the blue.
Well what about moving to Washington State. No no not Seattle the home of Starmucks. No I got an offer from a company in the Tri-City area. My friend recommended me and poof I have an offer to discuss a position in my inbox.
Problem is with kids you really after to worry about any relocation. Honestly I don’t know squat about the area and I was worrid about schools and the whole Tri City Real Estate market.
Moving from the east coat to the west coast can be a painful experience and its not easy in the financial sense in many situations. Moving to some west coast cities is impossible because of the housing costs. Unless you never want to own a house.

I didn’t know that the area was popular with wine growers since I’m not really a big wine drinker. That can really affect the local housing market since you know right away that the climate must not be too extreme in the winter time if it can support vineyards. Plus those vineyard owners like to develop in great farming lands so you know the area must have a strong farming background. Got to love those fresh veggies in the fall! All things to consider for your mental and physical health in the long term.
