I was wasting even more time this week doing one of lifes greatest tasks. Grocery shopping and waiting to pay. I’d hate to actually ever sit down and figure out how much time I spend waiting in line for various things.
At the grocery store my wife and myself have invented a new game that shows how pop cultural unaware that we have become in our older age.
At one time we used to be able to identify almost everyone who was on the cover of People or Us magazine. Right now beside Bradjolia I’m having a really hard time spotting anyone.
This week I was totally out to lunch on one picture. I was standing in line trying to figure out who was in the photo. I asked the wife she had absolutely no idea. Well the 14 year old behind us in the line just gave us the total blank clueless look and said it was America Ferrera from Ugly Betty. The photo in magazine was totally different than anything I would expect to see.
The magazine had some more photos from some Hollywood event inside. All the stars were done up in their red carpet best. That is likely why I did not recognize the america ferrera pics in the magazine. The usual Ugly Betty photos show what the typical teenager might be wearing as they hang out at school. Kind of like the young women who was so kind to point out America to me and the wife in the line up. Except the kid in the line up did not have those braces.
But now that I think about it America does look totally different than her Ugly Betty set up. If you saw any america ferrera videos from the Golden Globe awards you know what I’m talking about. She did not look anything like her character she looked at least another 10-15 years older in her red carpet get up.
