After I few days away from the usual stress of daily life I was shocked to rediscover that normal, everyday life has struck back at me in full effect.
After a few restful days away from things my pet dog decided to shock me back to reality this morning. I awoke to a nice mess on the carpet downstairs in the house. Not to large a mess but I’m sure you can appreciate what type of mess it was.
After I had a discussion with the animal in question I realized that I had a problem. The carpet was badly marked in one spot. I needed some carpet dye to cover up the problem. So my post restful week started with a trip to the hardware store.
I’ve made the trip to the various hardware stores in my area for almost every possible home repair project. But this was my first trip trying to sort out carpet dyeing. Didn’t have the slightest clue where to start.
Well after wondering around for about 15 minutes I realized I was SOL with the hardware store. Actually it was after talking to several employees of the un-named international super large hardware store that i realized I was really SOL. It was time to head out to the local carpet shop. They were able to hook me up with a carpet spot dye kit that should work. So my first post down time project involved about six hours of various mess related clean up. Nice.
