Well with the summer rapidly approaching the kids are getting might restless. I’m trying to plan out some big adventure trip so that they have something to talk about for the rest of the year.
The problem with Ontario is that everyone trys to rent out their piece of crap cottage for $2500 per week and you have about a 25 per cent chance that you’ll end up rained out. Another option for folks out east is to start looking at the deals that different airlines are featuring. The folks at WestJet have some great deals on trips out to Alberta.
So we started doing the math on taking a trip out to Alberta and visiting some real mountains. Banff is even a special place when there is no snow. We figure even if its raining we can still see some sites and really enjoy the trip. The Banff Alberta Hotels that we have found offer some great packages for different types of folks. You must remember that some people travel thousands of miles to visit Banff so they are more than willing to speed some serious dollars on the their vacation. They view their trips as a special once in a life time trip.
One of the best packages that I found was from the folks at Aspen Lodge which is located in downtown Banff. Thats the thing with the kids coming along. While it would be great to take a super romantic vacation with the wife the kids change all the planning. You have to make sure you can still escape into town and get some ice cream. Pretty simple thing but try that when you are at some super elite hideaway lodge. The Aspen Lodge has satellite TV which is great if those rains hit and you’re stuck inside with two screaming packages of terror who want to watch Arthur.
