Being out on the road and staying up late is not good for anyone if you do it to much. Not enough sleep, to many time zone changes really mess with all your internal settings. I’ve heard various theories on how to deal with travel but all seem to work in small amounts.
One thing that really is killing me with all the travel is my diet. And I really mean that it might be killing me ever so slowly. No matter how much I try sometimes its impossible to eat properly while you are on the road. Those airline meals are the first step on the slippery slope of crap food.
My biggest food related issue is actual my cholesterol level. I’ve tried to really watch the amount of fried food that I eat since that appears to be related to my high cholesterol level. But sometimes I’m just stuck eating some nicely fried up frites while I’m out on the road.
The worse part of my whole eating regime is that I’m vegetarian. That should help me and its supposed to help anyone who is trying to follow a low cholesterol diet program. But for some reason my body is just turning all those carrots into some bad blood cells. My number one goal for eating this spring is no fried foods no matter what the convention centers of the world throw my way in the next few months. All those two day old $8.50 salads are starting to become a staple of my traveling diet program.
